Oceanview Helicopters
Oceanview Helicopters (OVHL) is a Canadian helicopter company based in Powell River, British Columbia, Canada that began operations in 1994. We now operate a fleet of helicopters working with clients throughout the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada, and also operate as a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO).
Owned and operated by James Mode (President/Operations Manager) and Bill Chernoff (Director of Maintenance) who are both actively involved in the flying and maintaining of Oceanview’s fleet of aircraft.

Maintenance
Oceanview Helicopters is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO), capable of providing maintenance for the following aircraft: MD 500 series, MD 520N, MD 600N and Bell 206 series.
We also have a well stocked supply of MD 500 series parts.

Oceanview Helicopters exclusively operates the MD500D helicopter. The MD500 series of helicopters are widely regarded as the aircraft of choice for highly specialized operations.
Safety
Oceanview Helicopters has a fully integrated and supported Safety Management System (SMS).
But it is much more than a safety system, it is an integral part of our company culture.
Implemented in 2008, our SMS has taken our flight and maintenance operations to new levels, continually increasing safety through effective, open communication and risk management.
Oceanview Helicopters hold a BC Forest SAFE certificate and a Certificate of Recognition (COR) from the Alberta Construction Safety Association. This demonstrates leadership in making safety a priority and ensuring every employee, crew and passenger returns home safely.

Our Pilots:
• Have in excess of 4000 Hours in flight time • Fly daytime VFR. (Visual Flight Rules) • Are all proficient in external load and longline work • Are all experienced in mountain flying • Have all completed underwater egress training • MD Helicopters factory trained

• All Transport Canada licensed • MD Helicopters and Rolls Royce factory trained • Total of 45 years experience working on MD Helicopters
